North Shore CDJR is a brand-new, state-of-the-art dealership opening October 1, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina-and we're looking for an experienced, analytical, and hands-on Controller to help establish and lead our Accounting Department from day one.
This is more than a traditional accounting role. You'll have the opportunity to build processes, establish controls, develop a team, and create the financial foundation for a successful new dealership.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and oversee all dealership accounting operations.
  • Establish accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial processes for the new store.
  • Manage month-end, year-end, and daily accounting activities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and dealership financial reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity.
  • Review reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to analyze dealership performance and financial results.
  • Monitor expenses, budgets, and departmental profitability.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Oversee vehicle accounting, floorplan, inventory, contracts, and related dealership transactions.
  • Support payroll and other administrative accounting functions as needed.
  • Identify process improvements and opportunities to strengthen internal controls.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop Accounting Department personnel.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, manufacturer requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Work closely with corporate accounting and leadership to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide financial insight that helps management make informed business decisions.
  • Represent The Hanania Way through integrity, accountability, and excellence.

  • Previous automotive dealership accounting/controller experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and accounting practices.
  • Experience with dealership management systems and accounting software.
