DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Input and update carrier contracts, accessorial fees, and shipping lanes inside the 3GTMS system.
  • Data Integrity: Act as the primary gatekeeper for the 3GTMS platform, auditing system records to ensure freight rates match signed agreements.
  • Data Analytics: Extract and analyze system data to uncover cost-saving opportunities, route efficiencies, and network constraints.
  • System Integration: Support and maintain the integration between 3GTMS and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Freight & Financial Operations
  • Invoice Auditing: Match freight bills against system-quoted rates and approve invoices for payment.
  • Dispute Resolution: Identify and resolve billing discrepancies with carriers and provide administrative support for freight claims.
  • Freight Analysis: Review shipping patterns, mode optimization, and cost-to-serve metrics to lower total spend.
  • Savings Tracking: Track and report supply chain cost savings using both 3GTMS data and manual tracking methods.
  • Budget Support: Participate in and provide data support for the annual logistics budgeting process.
Vendor & Warehouse Management
  • Vendor Relationships: Manage day-to-day operational relationships with third-party warehouses.
  • Carrier Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new carriers and 3rd party warehouses, including maintaining the approved carrier list and collecting Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
  • Performance Metrics: Build and maintain carrier scorecards to track on-time delivery, capacity, and service compliance.
  • Warehouse & Transloader KPIs: Monitor operational metrics for 3 rd party warehouses and transloaders, including turn-around times, cross-dock efficiency, container demurrage, and cargo accuracy.
  • Routing Strategy: Propose cost-effective routing, transloading options, and consolidation strategies while factoring in specialized product needs like load temperature.
  • Process Improvement: Identify network bottlenecks and recommend strategic enhancements to optimize the supply chain.
  • Sales Returns: Coordinate the execution of sales returns across multiple internal departments.
  • Policy Management: Maintain and enforce company policies regarding tank cleaning.
RequirementsExperience & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, port operations, or supply chain analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Data Analytics preferred
  • Advanced, hands-on software skills experience with 3GTMS or a similar Transportation Management System (TMS), as well as Tableau. Experience with Business Central is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skill proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools, and metric reporting.
  • Excellent communcation and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with carriers, transload facilities, warehouses, and internal teams.
Summary

The Logistics Specialist reports to the Supply Chain Director and manages the Transportation Management System platform (3GTMS) and Tableau for Coim USA. This role ensures data integrity of 3GTMS, reporting accuracy and metrics generations for proper decision making. It is also responsible for routing strategies, projects, plans and efficiency/cost savings within our Logistics structure. Commercial management of 3 rd party warehouses is within the scope as well.
