The Construction Engineering Services Practice is seeking a CAD Drafter / Designer in Salem, OR. (Remote possible.)

We're looking for a skilled CAD Technician who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to the design and construction of vital transportation projects: roads, highways, and bridges. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, using cutting-edge tools and software to turn concepts into reality.

What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and graphics for a variety of transportation projects including roadway design, curb ramps, etc. 
  • Translate engineering markups into polished construction documents, maintaining precision and consistency. 
  • Use state-of-the-art software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and Bluebeam. 
  • Support design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers using industry standards. 
  • Maintain structured drawing files, adhere to company drafting standards, and support project-specific standards as needed. 
  • Collaborate through file-sharing systems like ProjectWise and participate in quality assurance reviews. 
  • Track quantities, update contract drawings, and contribute to project success within scope, budget, and schedule. 
  • Review all work for completeness and accuracy. Participate in company- and project-driven quality control and assurance processes. 
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
  • 0-3 years of drafting experience. 
  • Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D. 
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and identify, prioritize, and manage workloads to meet deadlines. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with transportation projects including the the Department of Transportation and/or other local agencies, including ODOT. 
  • Associate of Applied Science in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field. 
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for precision.

         The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
