Job description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Project Manager is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. You'll design and coordinate multiple product lines for precast concrete products. You're the point person who determines proper process flow to ultimately manufacture quality products and fulfill on-time deliveries.
Reporting to our Sales Manager, you'll communicate with our production department regarding schedule requirements, with our customers, outside sales, and engineers regarding project contract, with our delivery and yard departments for safe and on-time delivery, and report progress and challenges to the leadership team.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
  • Managing and coordinating all aspects of large and/or custom projects.
  • Managing the work order process to provide accurate work orders and drawings for production.
  • Producing an accurate bill of materials (BOM) for precast concrete structures being planned for production. Inputting BOMs into the manufacturing software to reflect an accurate accounting of the cost associated with each product being manufactured on a job-by-job basis.
  • Managing project take-offs and estimating for projects in the planning and bidding stages.
  • Tracking and reporting project progress from submittal stage to product installation via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Ensuring deliverables fall within the applicable scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Preparing a weekly sales report for the Sales Manager's review and distribution to the team.
  • Ensuring that mutually agreed upon contract clearly specifies terms and conditions and all products requested clearly specify requirements per drawings and plans so that the estimates are 100% accurate for each project in support of efficiency, accuracy, and deadline adherence.
  • Communicating the date the product can be manufactured and ready for delivery, changes to orders, add-ons, and any other issues that may arise during the manufacturing process to the customers.
  • Ensuring delivery date is scheduled per customer needs and delivered as requested.
  • Obtaining project site specifications and safety standards to communicate with dispatch for offloading products, and understanding hazards for crane operators.
  • Participating in entertainment functions with customers (e.g., lunches, dinners).
  • Participating in tradeshows, seminars, and classes to improve product knowledge and/or personal skills.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You're enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You possess demonstrated project management experience, preferably in a precast concrete or building materials environment (minimum of 3 years). You're a lifelong learner preferably with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management. Your passion for customers comes first and you aren't bothered by having to manage the details in the CRM. You don't take shortcuts. You're safety conscious not just for yourself, but for your team.
We're open to individuals who aren't just looking for their next job, they're looking to build a career. You want an opportunity to showcase your skillset in dispatch/logistics, strategic planning and business development with a solid company who will invest in you. In our culture - everyone matters.
ALL ABOUT JENSEN INFRASTRUCTURE
Much like you, our founder, Don Jensen was looking for a way to support his family, so he started his Company in 1968. Since founded, we've been supporting communities across Nevada, California, Arizona, Washington, Missouri, and Hawaii.
Jensen Infrastructure likely has an impact on your daily life. We build culverts to take water away from your neighborhoods, underground utility boxes to hold cables, and manholes to allow workers access to the sewers deep below the roads we drive on. And that's just a small sample of what we do at Jensen on a daily basis.
When you work at one of Jensen's many locations, you will enjoy the close relationships and camaraderie of a small company while being part of a larger, well-established, growing company.
We are committed to ensuring employment practices that promote equal opportunities. Please let us know if you require any reasonable accommodations during your interview process.
