Job description

As a Vendor Risk Analyst II, you will play a key role in protecting the organization by supporting our enterprise-wide third-party risk management program and ensuring our vendor partnerships align with regulatory requirements, business objectives, and risk management standards.

What You'll Do

As a Vendor Risk Analyst II, you will:

  • Evaluate and assess third-party vendors during onboarding and throughout the vendor lifecycle.
  • Conduct vendor due diligence reviews and ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate vendor-related risks to business stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and third-party risk management standards.
  • Partner with business units and vendors to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support vendor offboarding activities through established workflows and vendor management systems.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to vendor risk assessments and reviews.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors while delivering exceptional service and support.
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in vendor risk management or a related risk management function.
  • Strong understanding of vendor risk assessment methodologies and due diligence practices.
  • Knowledge of financial industry regulations and guidance, including NCUA regulations, FFIEC guidance, and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and vendor management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Vendor Relationship Management, such as Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM) Level 3, or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of business continuity and third-party resilience requirements.
  • Experience working within a financial institution or highly regulated industry.

  • Physical Demands of Position: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, walk and sit, use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift/push/pull and/or carry up to 40 pounds. 
  • Environmental/Working Conditions: Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Saturday hours required.
