Job description

As Claims Analyst, you will manage the claim process, including processing claims related to insurance, property loss, and workers' compensation claims. You will make recommendations to avoid risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, and/or financial success of Climate Pros.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Act as main liaison to internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of ensuring an immediate and direct line of communication from the EHS team to managers, employees and the TPA
  • Manage open workers' compensation claims with a focus on cost mitigation and reducing liability through monitoring medical treatment, targeted return to work efforts, and ongoing case management.
  • Work with contractors, clients, and employees to collect necessary information on insured items and claims
  • Maintain an updated tracking database for insured assets such as vehicles, equipment, tools, etc.
  • Review claims data for accuracy, making necessary corrections and responding to requests from attorneys or legal representatives
  • Monitor, document, and provide administrative support for worker's compensation claims and other lines of business as necessary
  • Adhere to company risk management policies and procedures
  • May be asked to mange other lines of business as necessary
  • May provide support for general accounting for month-end close or other activities
  • May provide training for other staff members so they can be aware of risks and how to avoid them
  • Other duties as needed or requested

Experience and education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred. High school diploma required.
  • 3+ years' experience in workers' compensation claims management
  • Strong computer skills including intermediate-advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with a RIMIS system (Riskonnect experience is a plus)
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate well with clients, employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Understanding of risk management principles
  • Detail orientation in completing work correctly and reviewing others' work for correctness and completeness.
  • Able to work independently on specific claims and issues while under general direction
  • Understanding and commitment to confidentiality

Physical requirements and working conditions
Normal office environment. Occasional light lifting of office equipment, materials and boxes; frequent walking and standing; requires dexterity in use of fingers for the operation of computers and other office equipment. All employees may be required to visit a customer site and/or complete a ride along with a field technician as part of their employment.
