Job description


The Utility Analyst provides contract management and operational support for customer new service installation agreements in support of the New Business organization. Working within the Administration & Customer Support (ACS) department, this role supports contract accuracy, financial risk mitigation, and audit control requirements related to new customer service requests.
This is an admin level role - with a starting salary of $60,000. You will be working in the Phoenix, Arizona offices and have a hybrid schedule. There is potential for role promotion based on growth factors.
This role focuses on contract input, review, discrepancy identification, escalation, and correction, as well as funneling and managing service request tickets for new business and gas availability requests.
Key Responsibilities
Input, maintain, and manage agreements related exclusively to customer new service installations.
Review contracts and service documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with approved terms.
Identify, document, escalate, and support correction of contract discrepancies that may create financial, billing, or compliance risk.
Perform contract true-ups, ensuring billed amounts, adjustments, and final contract values accurately reflect approved terms and actual service conditions.
Mitigate financial risk by validating contract provisions, calculations, and adjustments tied to new service installations.
Support audit readiness and internal control requirements by maintaining accurate records and providing documentation upon request.
Funnel, track, and manage service request tickets for new business service installations and gas availability requests.
Coordinate ticket routing, follow-up, and resolution in alignment with ACS and New Business workflows.
Track key contract dates, milestones, and required actions.
Maintain organized electronic contract and customer files in accordance with retention standards.
Perform other assigned duties in support of ACS operations.
Qualifications
2 years of relevant experience in contract administration, contract analysis, or utility support (preferred).
Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, interpret, and review utility service contract terms.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and escalate discrepancies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and tracking systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
