Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Aircraft Painter - Technician A to join our team based in Columbus, MS.

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION

You will be part of the team to prepare all components and airframe surfaces for painting and perform the painting of the components and airframes IAW Airbus manufacturer procedures

On the eastern border of Mississippi you'll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It's here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your challenges:

  • Prepare all surfaces for paint by sanding, masking, filling, washing and removal of dents.
  • Apply corrosive preventative treatments, primers, and finish coats of special Material.
  • Complete Aircraft for customer acceptance by brush touch-up, cleaning striping lines and removal of overspray

Your boarding pass:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of Painting and Paint preparation on metal and composite/fiberglass components.
  • Able to read and work from blue prints and Bills of material (BOM) to ensure proper coatings are applied IAW Technical Data.
  • Familiarity with common aviation type tooling.

Physical Requirements:

Onsite or remote: 100% Onsite

Vision: able to see and read computerscreensand other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily

Hearing:able toparticipate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear soundson the productionfloor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily

Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily

Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
