Job description

We are looking for an experienced Front Desk Coordinator to support daily front-of-house operations for a real estate and facilities management environment in Alexandria, Virginia. This Contract position is ideal for someone who creates a welcoming first impression, communicates clearly, and keeps reception activities running smoothly. The person in this role will serve as a central point of contact for visitors and callers while helping maintain an organized and responsive front desk experience.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome guests, tenants, and vendors in a courteous manner and provide clear direction or assistance upon arrival.
• Manage a multi-line phone system, route incoming calls to the appropriate contacts, and take accurate messages when needed.
• Oversee reception area activities to ensure a detail-oriented appearance and an efficient flow of visitor traffic.
• Provide concierge-style support by answering general questions and helping resolve routine front desk inquiries.
• Coordinate visitor check-in procedures and notify internal team members when appointments or deliveries arrive.
• Monitor phone and front desk coverage throughout the day to ensure timely responses to inbound communications.
• Support basic administrative tasks such as maintaining logs, organizing front desk information, and assisting with day-to-day office needs.• Prior experience in a front desk, reception, or customer-facing administrative role.
• Ability to operate a multi-line phone or switchboard system with accuracy and professionalism.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented demeanor when interacting with visitors and callers.
