Job description

Registered/Certified Behavior Technician (School-Based)

Compensation: Up to $22/hour

Seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) to provide school-based behavioral support services for students with special needs. The technician will implement behavioral intervention plans, support educational and behavioral goals, and assist with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services under the supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Provide 1:1 behavioral support to assigned students
  • Support ABA programming designed by supervising clinicians
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and behavioral specialists
  • Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
  • Promote positive behavioral and learning outcomes
Minimum Requirements
  • Active RBT Certification and/or State CBT License (as required by state/contract)
  • Must be supervised by a BCBA or BCaBA
  • One year of relevant experience preferred
  • Associate degree in Behavioral Studies or related field preferred
  • Current CPR certification (if required)
  • TB screening/PPD/chest X-ray (if required)
  • Current health certificate (if required)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
