Job description

We are seeking 3 dynamic and dedicated Onsite Audio Visual Support Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be the frontline expert responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting a wide range of audiovisual (AV) systems at client sites. Your energetic approach and technical expertise will ensure seamless AV experiences for meetings, events, and daily operations.

This a varied contract (1099) position that offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge AV technology, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to the success of live events and corporate communications at various client sites ad hoc as needed for both long term and short-term projects

Duties

  • Troubleshoot audiovisual equipment including video conferencing systems, audio systems, control systems, and digital signal processing devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on AV hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to AV system installation and troubleshooting.
  • Set up and operate video conferencing systems for meetings, webinars, and large-scale events.
  • Manage cabling, wiring, and mechanical assembly of AV components in various environments.
  • Support live and conference room event meetings by coordinating equipment setup, testing, and operation under tight deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot Audio visual issues in real time or while conducting room sweeps and be able to quicky implement solutions efficiently.

Skills:

  • Experience with computer networking concepts essential for AV system integration; familiarity and troubleshooting capabilities with AV control systems (i.e. Crestron, QSys, Cisco, etc.)
  • Skilled in equipment troubleshooting across hardware and software platforms; adept at diagnosing issues in digital signal processing and audio/video equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately; understanding of schematics specific to AV systems.
  • Hands-on experience working in the AV industry with conference room VTC Technologies
  • Familiarity with video conferencing platforms operation (e.g., Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams) and audiovisual control systems operation.
  • Mechanical knowledge for equipment mounting, rigging, and cabling management; experience with hand tools required for field service tasks.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
  • Experience in Troubleshooting DSP (audio flow and programming) such as Biamp and/or AMX components
