Cannabis Finance & Regulatory Attorney

Trustpoint.One is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm to identify an experienced Cannabis Finance & Regulatory Attorney to support sophisticated clients operating in one of the country's fastest-growing and most highly regulated industries.
This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working at the intersection of corporate finance, regulatory compliance, and the cannabis industry. You'll advise cannabis operators and related businesses on complex legal, financial, and regulatory matters while partnering with experienced attorneys serving a diverse client base.

What You'll Do
As a member of this growing practice, you'll provide strategic legal counsel to clients navigating the unique challenges of the cannabis industry.
Responsibilities include:
  • Advise cannabis businesses on federal, state, and local regulatory compliance
  • Counsel clients on corporate finance, commercial transactions, and business operations
  • Analyze legal and regulatory risks impacting cannabis operators and investors
  • Assist clients with licensing, compliance, governance, and ongoing operational matters
  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements and finance-related transactions
  • Partner with business leaders, finance professionals, and outside advisors to develop practical legal solutions
  • Monitor changes in cannabis laws and regulations and advise clients on evolving legal requirements
  • Support sophisticated client matters while balancing legal, regulatory, and business objectives
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate combines strong legal judgment with an understanding of the unique financial and regulatory challenges facing cannabis businesses.
Qualifications include:
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Experience advising cannabis industry clients or other highly regulated businesses
  • Strong background in corporate transactions, finance, regulatory compliance, or commercial law
