Job description

Role: Azure Cloud Engineer/Developer with Java Development Experience
Location: Chicago, IL – Onsite from day 1
Long Term Contract – W2/C2C

Position Details:

  • A cloud engineer typically works with cloud-related technologies (e.g., Cloud Services, Cloud Native applications for data retrieval, compute, serverless, databases, security, service mesh/orchestration, etc.).
  • They combine multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions
  • Performs analysis of business models, logical specifications and/or user requirements to design solutions.
  • Has strong Azure Cloud Experience building applications from the ground up.
  • Assist team lead helping with SDLC backlog and providing technical direction to developers.
  • Your role may also include assisting in implementing and securing cloud infrastructure supporting your teams’ products such as subnets, streaming platforms, databases, caching technologies, API gateways.
  • Strong background in cloud computing concepts such as Compute, Serverless Functions, Auto Scaling, Infrastructure as Code, AKS/ACA (Kubernetes) etc.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues. Propose and implement innovative solutions to address complex challenges.
  • Document codebase, technical designs, and development processes. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation to expected level withing client organization.
  • DB background with both NoSQL and SQl technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with an ability to effectively interface with both business partners and with technical staff. 

Minimum Experience:

  • Azure: 3+ years (MUST)
    1. Azure Cloud Services Kubernetes(AKS,ACA), Kafta, Apache Sparko CosmosDB, Databricks GraphQL
    2. Service Mesh/Orchestration
    3. Security Vaults, Tokens, Okta, IAM, Azure App Service (Easy Auth)
  • Java 1-3+ years
  • Oracle/Postgres 1-3 years
  • NoSQL 1-3 years
  • Microservice/API Programing 3+ years
  • GraphQL (Nice to have)
  • CI/CD
  • Observability (Dynatrace, Open Telemetry, AppInsights, etc.)

Qualifications:-

  • Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related subject, or 7+ year experience in IT
  • Good knowledge of application architectures, data pipelines, real-time data processing, streaming, networking, and security
  • Knowledge of DB tools, Experience with SQL (Oracle), NoSQL (Snowflake, Cosmos, Neo4j)
  • Proficient understanding of AI/machine learning a plus
  • Experience with Public Cloud Azure development required
  • Experience with React.js, Micro Frontends, Webpack
  • Proficient with Cloud concepts like IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, auto-scaling, serverless computing, etc
  • Proficient with Cloud Services/Server-Side Technologies
  • Linux, NGINX, CDN (Akamai, Front Door), AKS, ACA, WAF, Key Vaults, Logging
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies required
  • Ensuring application security through the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
  • CheckMarx, Sonar, OWASP
  • Exceptional problem solving / analytical thinking and skills
