Job description

Build the Future with Us - EquipmentShare is Hiring an Intern: Legal/Real Estate (Contract Lifecycle Management)
At EquipmentShare, we're not just filling a role - we're assembling the best team on the planet to build something that's never been built before. We're on a mission to transform an industry that's been stuck in the past by empowering contractors and communities through innovative technology, real-time support, and a team that truly cares.
We're hiring an Intern: Legal/Real Estate (Contract Lifecycle Management) at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO and we're looking for someone who's ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.
EquipmentShare is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Intern to support the Legal and Real Estate teams in a high-impact enterprise project. This role will focus on organizing, standardizing, and digitizing real estate contract data within our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, LawVu. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with legal operations, contract management systems, and enterprise data governance.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Upload and organize real estate contracts and related documents into the CLM system to ensure accurate, accessible records.
  • Review contracts and extract key metadata (e.g., lease terms, critical dates, obligations) to support effective tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of contract data across systems to enable reliable business decisions.
  • Support data cleanup and standardization initiatives across legacy files by implementing consistent naming conventions and organizing scalable folder and file structures.
  • Execute compliance-related tasks to align documents and records with EquipmentShare (EQS) standards.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide digital transformation efforts by supporting legal and real estate initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data integrity, accessibility, and overall usability.
Why EquipmentShare?
Because we do things differently - and we think you'll feel it from day one. We're a people-first company powered by cutting-edge technology. That means our proprietary T3 platform doesn't just run our business - it also makes your job easier, safer, and more connected. Whether you're behind the wheel, under the hood, leading a branch, or closing deals - tech supports you, and you drive us forward.
We're a team of problem-solvers, go-getters, and builders. And we're looking for teammates who take pride in doing meaningful work and want to be part of building something special.
Perks & Benefits
  • EquipmentShare interns have the opportunity to enjoy many perks while working at our Home Office, including:
    • Flexible work arrangement.
    • Competitive salary.
    • Company paid holidays.
    • Fitness Center on site plus seasonal and year round wellness challenges.
    • Company sponsored events (annual family gatherings, food truck nights and more).
    • Volunteering and local charity initiatives that help you nurture and grow the local community.
    • Opportunities for career and professional development.
About You
You want to be part of a team that's not just changing an industry for the sake of change - we're transforming it to make it safer, more secure, and more productive. You bring grit, heart, and humility to your work, and you're excited about the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
We're looking for people who:
  • See challenges as opportunities
  • Embrace change and continuous improvement
  • Bring energy, effort, and optimism every day
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and document management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel experience preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently
  • Interest in legal operations, real estate, or contract management, preferred
  • Familiarity with document management or CLM systems (a plus, not required)
  • Experience with data entry, auditing, or compliance-related work, preferred
Education and Experience:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Real Estate, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.

Our mission to change an industry is not easily achieved. That's why we look for students who are up for the challenge to join our internship program. In turn, our interns have countless opportunities to make a tangible difference in an industry that's long been resistant to change.
