Position Overview:

The Provider Reimbursement team is responsible for researching, evaluating, and setting reimbursements for health care services. Working with over 50 million rows of claims and provider transaction data, the team plays a critical role in supporting contract negotiations and financial modeling. As a Provider Reimbursement Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, healthcare economics, and contract strategy.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in reviewing and analyzing large datasets to support contract negotiations.
  • Use SQL to extract and summarize transactional data on a daily basis.
  • Interface with healthcare industry software to model reimbursement scenarios.
  • Present findings and recommendations using Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, ISDS, Economics, or a related analytical field.
  • Cumulative GPA: 3.0 preferred; 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to present ideas professionally.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented.
