Job description

Darigold has an exciting opportunity to join our Regional Continuous Improvement team and play an influential role. In this role, you'll provide expertise and coaching utilizing your excising continuous improvement skills.
The ideal candidate for this role has had exposure to food manufacturing/processing. You will get the opportunity to be the hands-on project manager in a highly visible space. You will have to have a keen eye for detail and be a great communicator. The successful candidate will have a continuous improvement approach to his/her work; a great attitude and ability to flex your style and connect with a diverse group of people.
What You Will Do:
  • Possess working knowledge of common methods to define problems, identify gaps in performance, gather supporting data, design solutions, implement improvements, measure results, and sustain results
  • Serve as a change agent to challenge existing processes in place. Use data to communicate and support the opportunities that exist.
  • Develop a pipeline of FI plans and execute them to resolve the inefficiencies to drive cost savings
  • Responsible for managing both capital and process improvement projects to ensure desired results are met within the budgeted time and cost
  • Responsible for working with cross functional teams to maintain a long-term commitment by evaluating probable financial and operational impact regarding process improvement opportunities
  • Responsible for increasing efficiency while minimizing cost and maximizing resource utilization through lean and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong understanding of financial costing, including contract analysis
  • Advocate for continuous improvement mindset, methods, and results through training, coaching, and facilitating continuous improvement events throughout the company
  • Change Agent Champion for the enterprise

What You Will Bring:
  • Comprehensive problem solving/decision making skills
  • Strong organization/administration - project management skills. Must be able to execute and deliver demonstrated results
  • Forthright about opinions and recommendations
  • Ability to capture and document business and reporting requirements from multiple sources
  • Ability to partner with different cross functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to travel 50% (mostly regional within the Darigold PNW footprint)
  • Bachelors Degree: Engineering, Business, Food Science, Operations
  • 5+ Years Operations experience with progressive levels of responsibility
  • 5+ years Lean Continuous Improvement (IWS, TPM) experience
  • Lean Green Belt & or Kaizen Facilitator (LSSI or equivalent)
