Data Engineer/Scientist (Contingent)

Location: On-Site – Springfield, VA

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph

Salary Range: Relevant to experience


ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Data Engineer/Scientist supporting counterintelligence operations for a national-level Intelligence Community customer, you'll combine deep data engineering skill with applied data science, designing the infrastructure that powers CI analytical workflows and applying advanced modeling to classified datasets in a mission-critical environment. This is a hands-on role where the systems you build directly enable technical security and counterintelligence outcomes.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure supporting counterintelligence and technical security analytical workflows
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and advanced analytics against complex, high-sensitivity datasets
  • Apply statistical modeling and data science techniques to classified data to surface actionable insight
  • Maintain and optimize database systems within accredited classified environments
  • Partner with analysts and mission stakeholders to translate operational questions into technical solutions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Polygraph (within the last 5 years)
  • U.S. Citizenship (required for clearance eligibility)
  • BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of data engineering and/or data science experience
  • Demonstrated experience in ML model development and data pipeline design (e.g., Airflow, Spark)
  • Prior experience working in DoD or Intelligence Community classified environments
  • DoD 8140 compliant — CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) required


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Data science experience supporting the GEOINT or broader Intelligence Community mission
  • Deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Big data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, Elasticsearch)
  • NLP and text analytics applied to large document collections
  • Geospatial data processing and analysis
