As our company grows, we are looking for reliable and detail-oriented technicians to join our packout operations.


Position Summary

The Packout Technician is responsible for packing, photographing, inventorying, cleaning, and moving customer contents affected by water, fire, mold, or other damages. This role includes handling items carefully, entering data into inventory systems, cleaning contents, organizing storage vaults, and assisting with on-site packouts. Success in this position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work professionally in customers’ homes and businesses.


Key Responsibilities
  • Pack, wrap, and protect contents from damaged properties following company standards.
  • Photograph and document each item using digital systems for accurate inventory tracking.
  • Carefully load, transport, unload, and position contents in storage vaults or at job sites.
  • Assist with cleaning and restoring contents using approved cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Label boxes, bins, and vaults accurately to ensure proper organization and tracking.
  • Help lift furniture, appliances, and other heavy items as part of the packout process.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in both customer spaces and company facilities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and comply with company policies.
  • Provide professional communication and customer service during on-site packouts.
  • Work collaboratively with the packout team, drivers, and project managers.
Qualifications
  • Prior restoration, moving, warehouse, or packout experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inventory procedures.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. repeatedly and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Comfort working in damaged structures, tight spaces, and various conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if driving duties assigned).
  • Strong organization skills and ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use tablets, phones, or inventory software for documentation.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items of varying weights, often 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, or smoky environments depending on job conditions.
  • Manual dexterity for wrapping, boxing, and handling delicate items.
  • Ability to maintain focus and accuracy when documenting and labeling items.
