Job description

The American Housing Corporation (American Housing) is looking for a video-first content creator to tell one of the most ambitious stories in American industry right now: a vertically integrated homebuilder designing, manufacturing, and building new homes across the country. You will own ideation, content strategy, and production, building the record of a company reinventing how America builds. This is a full-time role in our Austin, TX office, with some project-related travel. We welcome and support relocations.
What You'll Do
  • Ideate new content formats and series that capture American Housing's mission and unique approach to homebuilding.
  • Pitch concepts and creative direction to the executive team and turn them into tangible production plans.
  • Workshop with Brand the content roadmap, and our unique tone-of-voice, and style.
  • Own the content planning across the company's social channels (in particular, short- and long-form video on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn).
  • Direct content production from concept to delivery: scripting, storyboarding, filming, audio capture, editing, and distribution.
  • Source and manage freelancers, contractors, and equipment rentals as needed for bigger shoots.
  • Operate both on camera (hosting, interviewing) and off camera (directing others, shooting, editing) depending on a particular project and format needs.
  • Maintain a content library of photo and video assets; continuously document manufacturing process, factory build-out, new construction, behind-the-scenes, and home tours.
  • Distribute and adapt content across social platforms, tailoring format to each channel's audience.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track content performance and iterate based on what resonates with our audiences.

Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience building and scaling a personal or company social brand with tangible results in growth of the audience.
  • Experience across creative direction, storytelling, videography, and editing.
  • A personal passion for homebuilding, technology, or design.
  • Ability to lead both lean solo shoots and coordinate larger, more complex productions. Direct experience managing a content production team (editors, clippers, writers, producers).
  • Fluency across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, understanding of platform distinctions, and ability to adapt content to each.
  • Experience interviewing guests or hosting on camera.
  • Readiness to balance personal creative point of view with brand objectives.
  • Comfortable presenting concepts to executives and incorporating feedback quickly.
  • Proactive and able to operate with minimal oversight.
