Content Marketing Manager
Join Axon and be a Force for Good.
At Axon, we're on a mission to Protect Life. We're explorers, pursuing solutions to society's most critical public safety and justice challenges with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. But building extraordinary products is only part of the story. How we tell those stories is what inspires people to believe in our mission.
Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging, and meaningful. Here, you'll help define how the world understands our products, our customers, and our purpose. You'll partner with leaders across the company to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling stories that help define how the world experiences Axon.
Your Impact
As a Content Marketing Manager, you'll be one of Axon's primary storytellers. You'll create high-impact written content that spans product launches, customer stories, campaigns, events, videos, and thought leadership. Whether you're writing scripts, launch messaging, long-form articles, sales enablement assets, or web copy, you'll translate complex technology into narratives that resonate with customers, partners, investors, and the public.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone who loves writing and thrives on variety. You'll partner closely with Product and Customer Marketing, Brand, Events, Design, and senior leadership to develop content that advances both business goals and Axon's mission in creative ways, ensuring every story reflects the innovation, ambition, and humanity of the Axon brand.
What You'll Do
Location: This role is based out of our Scottsdale or Boston office. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesday through Friday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Monday, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.
Reports to: VP, Brand & Creative
Direct Reports: None
  • Write compelling content across a wide variety of formats, including product launch messaging, campaign copy, customer stories, articles, websites, social copy, video scripts, and more.
  • Partner with Product and Customer Marketing, Brand, and leadership to develop messaging frameworks and content that clearly communicates Axon's products, innovations, and mission in impactful and creative ways.
  • Transform complex technical concepts into simple, engaging narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to tell stronger customer, product, and mission-driven stories across every stage of the customer journey.
  • Develop editorial content that supports launches, campaigns, major events, and always-on marketing initiatives.
  • Push creative thinking beyond the expected by introducing never-before-seen ideas, fresh formats, and innovative approaches that differentiate Axon in the market.
  • Maintain a high bar for quality, ensuring every piece of content is clear, accurate, compelling, and consistent with Axon's voice.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Axon's messaging and narrative strategy while remaining deeply involved in execution.
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, brand storytelling, editorial, journalism, copywriting, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio demonstrating a range of formats and audiences.
  • Experience developing messaging and content for product launches, integrated campaigns, or thought leadership.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical products and translate them into digestible, compelling customer stories.
  • Strong editorial judgment and an instinct for identifying stories worth telling.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a bias toward action, with a passion for producing high-quality work at speed.
