Tubi

Los Angeles, CA • Hybrid

Full-time

Job description

About the Role:

Tubi is seeking an experienced, deal-driven content executive to join our Content Acquisitions & Partnerships team as Manager, Content Acquisition. This role will focus on building out Tubi's portfolio of creator, podcast, and other emerging content-format partnerships by identifying and closing licensing agreements that bring fresh, engaging content to our platform. Reporting to the Director of Content Acquisitions & Partnerships, you will own deals from conceptualization through execution, working hand in hand with Creator Partnerships and Legal teams to structure and finalize agreements.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder with real deal-making chops: someone who understands the streaming and creator economy landscape, is comfortable negotiating commercial terms, and knows how to get a contract across the finish line.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Los Angeles, CA office (3-4 days/week.)

What You'll Do:

  • Identify, source, and evaluate new content opportunities with creators, podcast networks, and other Creator-economy and emerging-format partners.
  • Structure, negotiate, and close content licensing and acquisition deals that align with Tubi's content strategy and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary deal lead on opportunities sourced by Creator Partnerships, partnering with them on prioritization and deal strategy, and with Legal on drafting, negotiating, and finalizing licensing agreements.
  • Own the end-to-end deal lifecycle from negotiation to contract execution and content onboarding/delivery.
  • Use performance data and audience insights to inform content licensing, deal economics, and investment decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Creator Partnerships, Legal, Content Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure smooth handoffs from deal signing through launch.
  • Track and manage deal pipelines, licensing terms, and key milestones, keeping internal stakeholders aligned on status and next steps.
  • Monitor trends in the creator economy, podcasting, and new content formats to proactively identify emerging opportunities.
  • Support ongoing business reviews with Creator Partnerships, Content Insights and Business Operations teams to develop the performance of Creator and podcast partnerships.

Your Background:

  • 5+ years of experience in content licensing, acquisitions, business development, or partnerships at a studio, agency, talent/Creator management company, podcast network, or streaming/digital media platform.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing content licensing or talent deals, including structuring deal terms and working directly with Legal to finalize contracts.
  • Established relationships within the Creator economy, podcast industry, and/or talent agencies and management companies.
  • Solid understanding of content licensing structures, rights, and deal economics (e.g., revenue share, licensing fees, minimum guarantees).
  • Comfort operating in a fast-evolving space and building deal structures for new and emerging content formats.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent Tubi externally and build trust with creators and partners.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to use data and performance metrics to inform deal-making and content strategy.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deals and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. You're equally comfortable driving deals forward independently and partnering closely with Legal, Creator Partnerships, and other cross-functional teams to reach aligned outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree required; JD or MBA a plus.
