Required Clearance: Active Secret

Advanced Knowledge Management, Graphics and Power Platform Specialist – MDA THAAD

This would be a hybrid position—not simply a graphic designer. The person would manage THAAD program information, develop senior-leader briefings, and build collaboration and reporting tools.

Position Description

Provide knowledge-management, executive-graphics, and Microsoft Power Platform support to the MDA THAAD program office. Translate complex technical, acquisition, test, schedule, and programmatic information into clear products for senior leadership and program reviews.

Primary responsibilities would include:

  • Develop executive-level PowerPoint briefings, technical graphics, charts, diagrams, schedules, and decision-support products.
  • Convert engineering and program data into clear visual presentations for THAAD leadership.
  • Manage SharePoint sites, document libraries, permissions, metadata, version control, templates, and content organization.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, and Power Automate workflows.
  • Maintain action-item trackers, meeting repositories, program calendars, briefing libraries, and recurring reporting products.
  • Establish knowledge-management procedures, naming conventions, taxonomies, and content-governance standards.
  • Coordinate with THAAD engineering, acquisition, test, logistics, cybersecurity, and program-management personnel.
  • Prepare products for program reviews, technical reviews, milestone decisions, budget reviews, and senior-leader meetings.
  • Manage information appropriately across unclassified, CUI, and classified environments.
  • Ensure products meet MDA formatting, security, accessibility, and records-management requirements.

Comparable MDA graphics positions emphasize visual products for briefings and technical documentation, while current Huntsville platform positions emphasize SharePoint administration and support for large user communities.

Likely Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain higher access if required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, communications, graphic design, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Approximately 8–12 years of relevant experience for an advanced-level billet.
  • Several years supporting DoD, MDA, Army air and missile defense, or another acquisition program.
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Visio, and SharePoint skills.
  • Working experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent graphics software.
  • Ability to turn complex technical information into clear executive-level products.
  • Experience handling CUI and classified information.
  • Strong communication, organization, customer-support, and deadline-management skills.
  • Ability to work on-site at Redstone Arsenal and coordinate directly with government leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior THAAD or MDA experience.
  • Familiarity with missile-defense acquisition, testing, sustainment, and system-engineering activities.
  • Experience with DoD365 and SharePoint in classified environments.
  • Experience building automated approval workflows and program dashboards.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility, records management, and MDA visual standards.
  • Experience supporting general officers, SES personnel, or program executive leadership.
