What is content development?

Content development is the process of researching, creating, editing, and organizing information for digital platforms such as websites, blogs, social media, and e-learning materials. Job description

Doximity is transforming the healthcare industry. Join our mission to help every physician be more productive and provide better care for their patients. As medicine's largest network in the United States, there's an elevated level of responsibility in everything we do. We don't take that responsibility lightly and are committed to building diverse teams with an inclusive culture that can make a direct impact on the healthcare system.
One of Doximity's core values is stretching ourselves. Even if you don't check off all the boxes below we encourage you to apply. Doximity is full of exceptional people who bring their own unique experiences to work everyday and make us all better for it!
As a Medical Content Strategist, you'll help shape how timely, clinically relevant medical information reaches our two million-plus clinician members. As part of the Editorial team, which powers Doximity's news products, you'll curate and package medical research, clinical news, and healthcare trends for busy clinicians across specialties. You'll bring strong editorial judgment, a clear understanding of clinical nuance, and curiosity about how AI can support modern medical content workflows.
How you'll make an impact:
  • Manage content curation across a variety of medical specialties and clinical interests
  • Monitor medical news, journal articles, clinical research, and healthcare trends to identify timely, relevant content for clinician audiences
  • Evaluate scientific journal articles and distill meaningful takeaways for clinicians without losing nuance
  • Develop content strategies for different clinician populations based on evolving interests, specialty needs, and engagement patterns
  • Use LLMs and AI tools thoughtfully to support editorial workflows, research, summarization, and content development while maintaining a high bar for clinical accuracy and trust
  • Collaborate with medical advisors and product partners to better understand user needs and help inform product development

What we're looking for:
  • Prior knowledge and/or experience in healthcare, medical research, digital health, health journalism, medicine, or science writing
  • Experience curating and disseminating medical or clinical content, particularly through email newsletters or other recurring content products
  • Strong editorial judgment and clinical fluency, including the ability to understand scientific journal articles, identify why they matter to clinicians, and simplify complex concepts without losing important nuance
  • Experience using LLMs or AI tools to support research, summarization, content development, or editorial workflows
  • Interest or experience in health tech, digital health, science writing, health journalism, or medical content
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and juggle projects across an editorial calendar

Nice to haves:
  • Clinical degree or advanced clinical training, such as MD/DO, NP/PA, PharmD, or equivalent clinical experience
  • You can't live without the news and are excited to share it with others. You're creative and resourceful about finding unique articles and have an innate understanding of how they're shared in medical circles and social networks
