Job Title: Oracle Portal Developer

Duration: 17 months with likely 2 year extension

Work Location: Albany, NY

Qualifications

Position Description/Responsibilities:

Candidate requirements:

  • 7 years' experience in the usage and support of Oracle Portal's Content Management System (version 9i and higher) to develop Web sites and Web-based applications using PL/SQL Programming Language
  • 7 years' experience developing Web based applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to developed user friendly interfaces, in the presentation data, for easy public consumption.
  • 5 years' experience using Oracle Portal's 10g locally built Providers using dynamic pages, list of values, packages and procedures.
  • 5 years' experience in advanced PL/SQL coding in creating 10g Oracle Portal packages and procedures to access database material views and tables, enable sort functions, conditional statements, and filtering for enterprise application solutions.
  • 1.5 years' experience using Oracle's Business intelligence tools (OBI) to write complex reports using BI Publisher and BI Analytics/Analysis.

Responsibilities/Job description:

  • Provide complex technical solutions and implementation of new technology initiatives relating to application development and business intelligence, in particular Oracle Portal and Oracle's Business Intelligence Tools.
  • Provide leadership for the development of application and business intelligence solutions. Analyze multiple business areas requirements, handle business and technical design, and determine optimum solutions to meet large scale enterprise business objectives.
  • Technical troubleshooting on complex issues that span enterprise systems and multiple data sources requiring rapid resolution.
  • Providing mentorship to junior team members on advance developing practices and knowledge in developing enterprise application solutions to support data transparency and public consumption.
  • Provide high technically knowledge, implementation experience and advanced enterprise solutions for the creation, modifications, additions, or enhancements to support multi agency enterprise solutions using these platforms.
