Job description

Built by People. Driven by Purpose.

Spiniello Companies is seeking a talented Senior Designer to join our in-house creative team and help shape how our brand is experienced across print, digital, and internal communications. Working alongside our Creative Director, you'll play a key role in bringing our story to life through compelling design, engaging content, and creative storytelling that connects employees, clients, and communities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about producing meaningful work that has a visible impact across an organization.

About Spiniello

Spiniello Companies is a nationally recognized infrastructure contractor with more than a century of experience delivering complex underground utility, water, wastewater, and heavy civil construction projects throughout the United States.

Founded in 1922, Spiniello is one of the few contractors that self-performs all aspects of excavation and specialty pipe rehabilitation. Our reputation has been built on technical excellence, operational execution, long-standing client relationships, and a commitment to investing in our people.

As we continue expanding throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, we are looking for experienced estimating professionals who are passionate about building the infrastructure that serves our communities.

What Makes This Role Unique

This is more than a graphic design position—it's an opportunity to shape the visual identity of a company with a century-long legacy.

Key Responsibilities:Design & Content Production
  • Design and produce the monthly internal employee e-newsletter, partnering with the Creative Director on content and layout.
  • Design social media graphics and posts for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms as needed.
  • Design print materials — business cards, signage, and other one-off projects as they come up.
  • Contribute copywriting for newsletters, social posts, and web pages, collaborating with the team — including AI tools — to draft and refine content.
Digital & Web
  • Build and update new pages on the company's Squarespace site.
  • Apply working knowledge of HTML and CMS-based web design tools; Webflow experience is a plus.
Photography & Video
  • Photograph employees for use in the newsletter, social media, and web content, conducting light interviews as needed to gather quotes and context.
  • Edit photos for use across platforms; video editing skills are a plus for short-form content.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of professional design experience spanning both print and digital media.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and Figma.
  • Strong, current knowledge of design trends and social media best practices.
  • Comfortable writing and editing copy for newsletters, social, and web.
  • Comfortable photographing employees and conducting brief interviews to gather content.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CMS platforms; Squarespace required, Webflow a plus.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating range across print, digital, and social design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing internal communications or employee-facing content.
  • Video editing experience.
  • Curiosity about — or experience — weaving AI tools into a design workflow.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or another industrial B2B environment.
What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you will:

  • Own the monthly employee newsletter from design through production.
  • Establish a consistent, modern visual presence on Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Build and maintain new Squarespace pages independently.
  • Become the Creative Director's go-to for print and one-off design requests, needing minimal oversight.
  • Build a steady rhythm of employee photography and storytelling that feeds the newsletter and social content.
