POSITION SUMMARY 

The Training Content Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging learning materials and digital content to support organizational training initiatives. This role ensures that training content aligns with business goals, adult learning principles, and brand standards. The specialist collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and trainers to deliver effective learning experiences across multiple platforms. 

LOCATION 

Onsite, in Fort Wayne, IN 

COMPENSATION

This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop, write, and edit training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training facilitator guides, videos, infographics, and job aids. 
  • Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex information into clear, engaging learning content. 
  • Ensure training materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational policies and branding. 
  • Maintain and update existing training content to reflect process or technology changes. 
  • Leverage learning management systems (LMS) to organize, upload, and track training content. 
  • Apply adult learning theory and instructional design best practices to enhance learner engagement and retention. 
  • Partner with instructional designers to storyboard and script e-learning or video-based content. 
  • Manage version control and documentation of training assets. 
  • Support the evaluation of training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, and analytics. 
  • Stay current with emerging trends in learning technology and content development. 

 REQUIREMENTS 

MUST HAVE 

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Communication, Instructional Design, or a related field required. 
  • 2–5 years of experience in training content development, instructional design, or corporate learning. 
  • Experience with learning management systems (e.g., HiBob Learning, Cornerstone, Moodle) preferred. 
  • Familiarity and expertise with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite). 
  • Experience with AI content development tools (e.g., Synthesia, ChatGPT) 
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to clarity, tone, and visual communication. 
  • Ability to organize and present information logically and creatively. 
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models (Kirkpatrick model, Bloom's taxonomy, ADDIE, Backward Design). 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management and time management skills. 
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively across departments. 
  • Comfortable with multimedia content production and basic graphic design.
