Job description

Brand/Socials Manager — Dr. Caleb Masterson

Location: (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time Work Schedule: Hybrid — on-site during weekly batch-filming days and as needed for production coordination; remote for all other responsibilities including scheduling, posting, community management, analytics, outreach, and trend research. Compensation: Base salary transitioning to base + commission (see details below)

About Us

Dr. Caleb Masterson is a board-certified ENT-Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose & Throat specialist), founder of the ENT Center of Northwest Alabama, Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Anatomy, and a nationally recognized content creator in the medical space. With a combined following of 350,000+ across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube, Dr. Masterson produces translational medical content, healthcare advocacy videos, educational material, viral trend adaptations, and comedic medical skits. We are looking for a Brand/Socials Manager to scale this fast-growing operation, bring structure to our content pipeline, and drive audience growth and monetization.

The Role

You will be the organizational engine behind a high-output content operation, working alongside Dr. Masterson (creator and creative director) and a full-time cinematographer. You will own the entire content lifecycle beyond filming — from trend research and content planning through scheduling, posting, community management, analytics, brand partnerships, and creator collaborations. This role is equal parts strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and disciplined execution.

Key Responsibilities

Content Scheduling & Publishing: Manage a multi-post per day cadence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts within a designated evening posting window. Coordinate cross-posting strategy tailored to each platform's audience and algorithm.

Trend Research & Content Curation: Conduct daily research to identify viral content, trending formats, and timely healthcare topics. Maintain a weekly quota of curated clips and concepts for Dr. Masterson's review, ensuring all source content meets a minimum virality threshold.

Production Coordination: Coordinate weekly batch-filming sessions with the creator and cinematographer. Prepare shot lists, organize skit logistics, source props, and ensure each production block yields enough content for the week ahead.

Community Management: Respond to comments and DMs across all platforms within 24 hours using brand-appropriate messaging. Drive engagement through conversation-starting responses while maintaining strict guardrails — never providing specific medical advice or engaging politically.

Brand Partnership Development: Identify and pitch brand partners in the health, wellness, medical device, supplement, fitness, and lifestyle categories. Manage the full outreach pipeline from research and personalized pitching through negotiation, maintaining detailed tracking of all contacts and deal stages.

Creator Collaboration Outreach: Build relationships with physician content creators, healthcare professionals, and other influencers for cross-promotional collaborations including duets, joint lives, guest appearances, and collab posts. Maintain a consistent outreach cadence and track all activity.

Analytics & Reporting: Deliver weekly analytics reports covering engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance. Use data to identify top-performing content, optimize strategy, and inform planning for the following week.

Platform Growth Strategy: Execute dedicated growth plans for LinkedIn (thought leadership positioning through longer-form captions and professional engagement) and YouTube (Shorts optimization with search-friendly titles, thumbnails, and tags).

AI-Powered Workflow: Leverage AI tools daily for caption writing, hashtag strategy, content brainstorming, outreach email drafting, analytics interpretation, comment response generation, trend analysis, competitive research, and workflow automation. Stay current on emerging AI tools and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and output quality.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand, creator, or organization, with demonstrated results in audience growth and engagement

  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube algorithms, best practices, and content formats

  • Experience with or strong aptitude for AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) and a genuine enthusiasm for integrating AI into daily workflows

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone across platforms — from professional LinkedIn captions to conversational TikTok copy

  • Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar) and design tools (Canva or similar)

  • Proficiency with native social media scheduling platforms

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams, trackers, and deadlines

  • Experience with or willingness to learn brand partnership outreach and negotiation

  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently while maintaining close communication with the team via Slack/text

  • Familiarity with the healthcare, wellness, or medical content space is a plus but not required
