Job description

About RentSpree
Renting should be faster, fairer, and less stressful than it is. We're the infrastructure that makes that happen. Four million users. 300+ real estate company and MLS partnerships. Ten years of consistent growth. From applications and screening to payments and lease management, the full rental journey runs on RentSpree.
Recognized by Forbes as a Best Startup Employer and by BuiltIn Seattle as a Best Place to Work.
Senior Content Marketing Manager - Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
The Growth & Marketing team is building the growth engine across the entire RentSpree customer experience-fueling our next stage of scale. We're data-driven, insight-obsessed, and committed to exceeding acquisition, adoption, and revenue goals while strengthening trust with both Agents and Landlords.
As our Senior Content Marketing Manager, you will build the repeatable content engine that fuels both agents + landlords-supporting our growth roadmap while also unlocking new opportunities over time. This role is a core builder in shifting RentSpree from traditional marketing to a flywheel-driven growth system-one where RentSpree-produced content and user-generated content work in tandem. Our most credible voices aren't us: they're the agents and landlords already using RentSpree every day. This role finds, activates, and amplifies those voices alongside our own, creating compounding momentum across acquisition, activation, and retention.
Hybrid in Seattle, WA - three in-office collaboration days weekly plus occasional travel for offsites and events.
What You'll Do
Build the Content Engine (end-to-end)
  • Own content strategy across agents and landlords (B2C): develop an integrated content and distribution plan across education, testimonials, social content, webinars, customer advocacy video content, and community loops designed to drive flywheel momentum-not just awareness.
  • Create scalable content that drives "Learn โ†’ Activate โ†’ Refer": translate core product value and best practices into content that improves conversion, activation, and retention across both flywheels.
  • Stand up repeatable production systems: build an editorial calendar, templates, a lightweight content ops system, and a measurable distribution plan (email, social, webinars, partner channels, in-product placements as applicable). You use AI wherever possible to speed up but do not use it to compromise on trust and authenticity.

Drive durable growth through community, influence, and trust
  • Launch and scale community programs that deepen engagement with agents and landlords-starting small, learning fast, and building repeatable loops that support acquisition and retention.
  • Build a nano-influencer + customer advocate motion: recruit, enable, and activate credible voices (agents + landlords) to create trusted content, testimonials, and co-marketing moments.
  • Develop a customer proof engine: systematically source and ship case studies, quotes, reviews, and short-form proof assets that support growth campaigns, lifecycle journeys, sales enablement, and product launches.

Partner tightly with Growth, PMM, Product, Data, and Sales
  • Collaborate on a flywheel-aligned roadmap: partner with Growth Marketing, Insights/Experimentation, PMM, and Product to ensure content + community efforts map to the highest-leverage opportunities and key metrics.
  • Operate with experimentation rigor: define hypotheses, run tests, and iterate content/community motions based on performance and learnings-building a playbook the org can scale.
  • Support brand elevation through bold, dynamic storytelling: help shift market perception of RentSpree beyond a point solution through clear, trusted, and differentiated narratives and customer stories.

Use AI to scale output (responsibly)
  • Leverage AI and agentic workflows to accelerate ideation, drafting, repurposing, distribution, and measurement-raising velocity without sacrificing quality or brand trust.

Our job descriptions evolve with our business needs and priorities. Your role may include other tasks, projects, and team support.
Skills You Bring
  • 5-10+ years in content marketing, community, editorial, creator/influencer, or integrated marketing roles-ideally within SaaS, proptech, fintech, or marketplace / B2B2C or B2C businesses.
  • Proven experience building repeatable content systems (not one-off campaigns): editorial strategy, production, distribution, and measurement.
  • Strong instincts for trust-building storytelling: customer proof, testimonials, case studies, creator partnerships, and narrative development that moves adoption-not just engagement.
  • Experience launching and scaling community or advocacy programs (online communities, webinar programs, ambassador programs, creator/influencer programs, customer councils).
  • Comfort partnering cross-functionally with Growth, PMM, Product, Sales, and Data-and translating priorities into content and programs that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strong writing + editorial judgment, with the ability to adapt voice across personas (agents vs. landlords) and formats (short-form, long-form, scripts, live/webinar).
  • AI fluency: hands-on use of AI tools/workflows to accelerate production, repurposing, and insights-brand-safe and quality-driven.

Qualities You Practice
These are the principles we hire for and hold ourselves to:
  • Own it end to end. Drive projects from idea to execution. Take pride in the work. Do what it takes.
  • Communicate like a teammate. Direct, candid, and respectful. Give feedback well, receive it well, and build trust through transparency.
  • Hold a high bar. Think critically. Stay curious. Keep looking for ways to do it better.
  • Stay adaptable. Anticipate challenges, take initiative, and bring resourcefulness to whatever comes next.
  • Experiment and learn fast. Try things. Learn from what doesn't work. Keep it simple.
  • Debate well, commit fully. Push back constructively, contribute your point of view, then align and move together.
  • AI is a core skill. Use AI tools to move faster and think sharper.
