Job description

WAVI Social Media Intern


Location: Remote in Utah, preferably the Salt Lake City metropolitan area


Term: September through December 2026, with potential for renewal


Compensation: Commission-based, 10% of every WAVI Compete sale you generate

WAVI is looking for a motivated college student or recent college graduate with an interest in

marketing, social media, content creation, or a related field to join our team as a Fall Social

Media Intern.


About WAVI

WAVI is a Utah-based nootropic supplement brand founded in 2023 by father-and-son team

Scott and Riley Welch. WAVI was created to provide an alternative to traditional high-caffeine

energy products, with a focus on clear-headed energy, focus, and performance.

We help athletes and active individuals stay focused and energized without the heavy caffeine

load or crash associated with traditional energy drinks. Riley is a Certified Strength and

Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), bringing a background in strength, conditioning, and athletic

performance to the brand.


About the Role

This internship is primarily focused on creating social media content that drives sales. We’re

looking for someone who understands what is trending on TikTok and Instagram and can turn

those trends into creative, engaging content that gets people interested in WAVI and ultimately

motivates them to purchase.


Your responsibilities will include:

-Creating and posting content for Instagram and TikTok

-Staying up to date on social media trends, sounds, formats, and conversations

-Developing creative content around WAVI Compete

-Creating content designed to directly drive sales

-Testing different hooks, concepts, and content styles

-Tracking content performance and identifying what drives engagement and conversions

-Helping grow WAVI's social media presence and brand awareness

-Bringing fresh ideas and creativity to the marketing team


Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

-Currently pursuing a degree or recently graduated in marketing, communications, social

media, business, or a related field

-Based in Utah, preferably in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area

-Comfortable creating content for TikTok and Instagram

-Familiar with current social media trends

-Creative, self-motivated, and willing to experiment

-Interested in fitness, sports, wellness, or performance

-Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

-Excited about building real-world marketing experience


Compensation

This is a commission-based internship. You will earn 10% of every WAVI Compete sale that you

generate through your content, promotional efforts, or unique sales tracking.


This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation,

influencer-style marketing, e-commerce, and sales while directly seeing how your marketing

efforts translate into revenue.
