Job description

Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America's boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country'sย biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.ย

Asย theย Content and Communicationsย Specialistย on the Stand Together Foundation team, you will play a key role in two critical parts of our work:ย first, inย creatingย and coordinating content that appears acrossย various communication channels, and second, in supporting the narrative-focusedย learning experiencesย we create for our partners. Both contributions are critical for elevatingย the work of the nonprofit leaders and changemakers we work alongside.ย

You will thrive in this role if youย are a strong writer and editor who enjoys coordinating across multiple stakeholders, bringing structure to creative work, and helping ideas and stories reach the audiences who canย benefitย from them most.ย

This role is a force multiplier for the team. Your work will strengthenย content creation processes, improve operational consistency, and help create the conditions for scalable, high-qualityย storytelling,ย and learning.

How You Will Contribute

ย Contentย and Communication Developmentย

  • Coordinate the development, organization, and publishing of content acrossย various communication channels, includingย websites,ย social media platforms,ย earned media,ย andย printed materials.ย ย

  • Support storytelling efforts that highlight the work and impact of nonprofit leaders, partners, and changemakers.ย ย

  • Copyย editย and review content to ensure clarity, consistency, brand alignment, andย accurateย representation of partners and initiatives.ย ย

  • Support cross-functional collaborationย with internal stakeholders to ensure content and communications align with organizational and narrative priorities.ย

  • Helpย maintainย contentย calendars, content workflows, and publishing timelines across multiple platforms and initiatives.ย ย

  • Identifyย and implement process improvements that strengthen communication workflows, content operations, and audience engagement.ย ย

  • Collaborate with team members to test and refineย content andย engagement strategies.ย

Learning and Program Operationsย

  • Support the coordination and execution of cohort-based learning experiencesย and individualized 1:1 coaching engagementsย (virtual and in-person) from onboarding through completion.ย These learning experiences all focus on narrative discoveryย andย storytelling.ย ย

  • Helpย maintainย a consistent voice and narrative approach across communications and learning materials.ย ย

  • Support learning session facilitators with session preparation, participant communications, and operational workflows to ensure a seamless experience.ย

  • Maintain and contribute to shared knowledge systems on Salesforce andย Airtable.ย

ย
What You Will Bring
  • 3-5 years of experienceย supporting content creation, storytelling, communications initiatives,ย and/or learning materials.ย ย

  • Strongย writing,ย copyย editingย (AP style),ย and verbal communication skills.ย ย

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, especially across multiple projects and timelines.ย ย

  • Comfort managing systems, workflows, and operational processes whileย maintainingย accurateย records and trackingย data.ย ย

  • A proactive,ย solutions-oriented mindset with a bias toward improving how work gets done.ย ย

  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments and stakeholder groups.ย ย

  • Passion for storytelling, learning, community building, and supporting nonprofit leaders and changemakers.ย ย

  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.ย ย

    • ย
Standout Candidates Will Bring
  • Experience withย Airtableย andย Salesforce.ย ย

  • Experience supporting communications strategy,ย learning programs,ย or editorial workflows.ย ย

  • A love of systems improvement, operational excellence, and automation.ย ย

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, mission-driven organizations, or technology-enabled teams.ย

What We Offer
  • Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.
  • A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,400 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
