About Barrena Branding & Marketing

Barrena Branding & Marketing is a full-service marketing and branding agency focused on helping companies build world-class brands and scalable marketing strategies. We provide strategic guidance and execution support across brand, content, and demand generation, often acting as an extension of our clients’ teams.

Our work spans brand strategy and positioning, website design and development, content creation, email marketing, paid media, SEO, and lead generation. We primarily partner with B2B companies in industries like technology and healthcare, while also supporting select consumer brands.

At Barrena, we believe great brands are built by passionate, creative, and driven people. We value strong communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach, and we’re always excited to connect with individuals who are eager to make an impact.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Strategist & Content Creator who can own social media strategy and execution across several client accounts.

This role combines content creation, strategy, and day-to-day execution. You will be responsible for planning content, creating high-quality video and photo assets, managing posting, and helping drive performance across platforms.

This role requires someone who is currently based in the Tampa Bay, FL area and can attend periodic in-person content shoots, capture content, and support on-site production needs.

This is not just a content creation role. You will be expected to think strategically about what content should be created, why it matters, and how it performs, particularly within a B2B marketing environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute social media strategies for client accounts
  • Plan and manage content calendars aligned with overall marketing goals
  • Develop and execute LinkedIn strategies for B2B brands
  • Create social media content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • Capture photo and video content during in-person shoots (events, offices, brand sessions, etc.)
  • Write captions and manage posting and scheduling across platforms
  • Monitor content performance and make recommendations to improve engagement and results
  • Collaborate with our internal team to align social media with broader campaigns and initiatives
  • Stay on top of trends and proactively suggest new content ideas
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, high-quality, and aligned with client strategy
Who We’re Looking ForB2B Social Media Experience
  • 2+ years of experience developing and managing social media for B2B brands, companies, or clients, particularly in areas such as technology, healthcare, professional services, SaaS, or other complex industries
  • Ability to translate complex products, services, or ideas into engaging social content
  • Understanding of how B2B social media differs from consumer-focused social media
LinkedIn Experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing LinkedIn for brands or B2B companies
  • Experience developing LinkedIn content strategies, content calendars, and campaigns
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn best practices, including content formats, audience engagement, and performance metrics
  • Experience writing compelling LinkedIn copy and creating LinkedIn-specific visual and video content
  • Ability to analyze LinkedIn performance and use data to inform future content

You have experience developing and managing social media strategies for brands or clients, not just executing posts. You understand how social media fits into broader marketing goals and can explain the strategy behind the content you create.

Content Creation Skills

You are comfortable creating both video and photo content, including filming and editing short-form video.

Video & Editing Expertise

You can independently shoot and edit content using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar.

Platform Knowledge

You have strong working knowledge of LinkedIn and familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

Creative & Performance Mindset

You can generate content ideas while thinking critically about what drives engagement, brand awareness, audience growth, and business results.

Execution Ownership

You are comfortable managing posting, scheduling, content calendars, and day-to-day execution, not just content creation.

You collaborate well with a remote team and communicate clearly and proactively.

Reliable & Detail-Oriented

You manage deadlines effectively and ensure content is polished, on-brand, and ready to publish.

You must currently live in the Tampa Bay, FL area and be available for periodic in-person content shoots.

Compensation
  • Hourly or project-based compensation, depending on experience and scope
  • We are committed to fair compensation based on your skill level and the value you bring
  • This is a contractor role with the potential to evolve into a longer-term or full-time opportunity based on performance and business needs
