Job description

Job Summary:
Organize incoming containment/projects. Setup contractors in customer facility with work instructions provided by plant and/or customer.
Job Accountabilites:
  • Responsible for accuracy and validity of the inspector results generated.
  • Notify Quality Engineer responsible about reject products, materials and equipment that does not meet specifications in accordance to standard operating procedures.
  • Assure timely feedback of inspection results to appropriate personnel.
  • Record inspection data and mark items with details of rejection status and follow procedures for non-conforming product.
  • Evaluate problems and make recommendations for improvements to upper management.
  • Prepare and verify testing equipment according to the standard operating procedures.
  • Promote safe work practices and adherence to company operating procedures.
  • Perform specialty tests as needed.
  • Ensure calibration of inspection equipment prior to use.
  • Assist with secondary operations as needed.
  • Driving containment and closure of Supplier Process SQE concerns.
  • Driving reduction in supplier Quality Rejects (QRs).
  • Collect data and email to Corp office.
  • Initiate new inspection projects.
  • Inspect and measure materials and dimensions of components to verify conformance using approved measuring instruments and optical devices.
  • Valid and confirm inspectors are completing job duties specified by work instructions and/or quality management team.
  • Provide correct tool/equipment to inspectors.
  • Responsible for all open containment and ensuring no spills occur.
  • Provide corrective action and full insvestigation report if spill occurs.
  • Create work instructions for all open containments.
  • Ensure all data provide to Corp office is accurate and sent timely.
