Tanker Mechanic

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5 years of tanker repair experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Address: 353 Odell Road, Griffin, GA. 30224

Pay Range: $18.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

  • The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
  • Tank service and repair
  • Trailer suspension installation and repair
  • Experience with air brake systems and repairs
  • TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
