Staying organized and proactive in addressing potential issues can significantly minimize disruptions and ensure timely cargo delivery.

Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), container tracking software, and databases is typically required. Effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for coordinating with carriers and resolving shipment issues. These skills ensure accurate monitoring, timely delivery, and efficient resolution of delays or discrepancies in the shipping process.

What is container tracking?

Container tracking refers to the process of monitoring the location and status of shipping containers as they move through various stages of transport, such as by sea, rail, or truck. It uses technologies like GPS, RFID, and online tracking platforms to provide real-time updates on container positions and estimated arrival times. This helps shipping companies, logistics providers, and customers keep track of their shipments, improve supply chain visibility, and manage logistics more efficiently.
