Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  2. Drive freight sales for Domestic Container Train Operations (CTO).
  3. Maintain accurate records of all sales opportunities and commercial engagements.
  4. Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
  5. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities, and translate insights into effective sales and marketing strategies.
  6. Develop and manage budgets for container sales and related marketing activities.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales initiatives and associated resources to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  8. Collaborate with operations, finance, and other internal departments to ensure seamless execution and alignment with overall business goals.
  9. Propose innovative and cost-effective first-mile and last-mile logistics solutions within the CTO business.
  10. Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all commercial records and agreements.

Experience

  1. Minimum 7 years of experience in the Domestic CTO industry, preferably within commercial or operations functions.
  2. Strong understanding of the domestic CTO regulatory framework.
  3. Working knowledge of railway freight policies such as GPWIS, SFTO, and GCT.
  4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proven experience in contract finalization, particularly in transportation, handling, and storage agreements.
  6. Prior experience in managing Domestic Rail Movements is mandatory.
