Senior Implementation Manager

Terminal Industries

Job description

At Terminal, we believe the logistics yard is the last great untapped frontier in supply chain technology - a space still run on clipboards, radios, and guesswork. Yet these yards move the trucks, trailers, chassis, and containers that power global commerce. Unlocking yard-level data is foundational to improving efficiency, sustainability, and scalability across the supply chain.
That's why we're building the world's first AI-powered Yard Operating System (YOS), a platform that digitizes, automates, and orchestrates everything that happens in the yard. Powered by our Terminal Vision Engine and best-in-class machine learning, we give operators real-time visibility, intelligence, and control to slash dwell times, eliminate phantom costs, and boost throughput.
The result? Safer, smarter, faster yards - and the chance to redefine a trillion-dollar industry from the ground up. Backed by top-tier investors and partnered with leading global logistics companies, we're not just solving problems, we're creating the category standard.
Joining Terminal means joining a team that's rewriting the rules of modern logistics. If you want to make a tangible impact on how goods move through the global supply chain, this is an opportunity to do meaningful work at a pivotal stage of growth.
As a Senior Implementation Manager at Terminal, you will own the end-to-end deployment of our Yard Operating System for enterprise customers - from kickoff through go-live and beyond. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that sits at the intersection of project execution, technical coordination, and operational change management. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure every implementation is delivered on time, on scope, and with the customer confidence that drives long-term retention.
Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the full implementation lifecycle, from discovery and project planning through configuration, testing, training, and go-live, for enterprise Yard Operating System deployments.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans that sequence software, integration, and hardware dependencies with clear milestones, owner assignments, and risk flags.
  • Lead discovery workshops to define customer workflows, identify operational gaps, and align stakeholders before build begins, separating product gaps from process gaps and preventing scope creep.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders throughout the engagement, delivering clear, confident status communication to both operational teams and executive leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resolution across customer IT/networking, hardware installation vendors, and internal engineering teams to unblock technical dependencies (e.g., network whitelisting, IP camera installation, edge compute setup).
  • Proactively identify and manage implementation risk through risk registers, readiness gates, and rebaselining when conditions change, with a bias toward transparent escalation over avoidance.
  • Manage multiple concurrent implementations at varying stages, prioritizing critical path items and delegating appropriately across junior team members or partners.
  • Partner with Customer Success post-go-live to ensure adoption, capture lessons learned, and contribute to process improvements across the implementation function.
  • Own customer success and customer support responsibilities post-go-live. Serving as the ongoing point of contact for adoption, issue resolution, escalations, and continuous improvements.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software implementation, with a strong track record of delivering complex, multi-workstream deployments on time.
  • Prior hands-on experience implementing TMS, ERP, WMS, or similar operations-critical platforms, you understand the weight of a live deployment in a 24/7 environment.
  • Demonstrated project management competency: you can build a real project plan, identify a critical path, and rebaseline without losing customer confidence.
  • Experience navigating technically complex environments involving integrations, third-party vendors, and customer IT constraints.
  • Proven executive communication skills, able to deliver crisp, credible status updates and de-escalate stakeholder concerns with composure and clarity.
  • Strong operational consulting instincts: you guide customers through change, not just through software configuration.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to drive outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for onsite customer engagements.

Preferred But Not Required
  • Experience working with IoT devices, IP cameras, edge compute hardware, or physical infrastructure deployments
  • Background in logistics, supply chain, yard management, or adjacent industrial operations.
  • Familiarity with logistics SaaS platforms, yard management systems (YMS), or telematics solutions.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.

What We Offer
Joining the Terminal team means being part of a dynamic, innovative environment where your work directly shapes the future of logistics and the global supply chain. You will work closely with a team of experts passionate about operational excellence and technological innovation. We offer competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth.
