Parsec, LLC. is currently seeking a Terminal Manager for our intermodal operation based in Wylie, TX. This position is responsible for leading all terminal operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of containers, chassis, equipment, and rail traffic while meeting customer service, productivity, and financial objectives. The Terminal Manager will provide leadership to both hourly and salaried employees while maintaining strong relationships with railroad partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day terminal operations, including train loading and unloading, container management, gate operations, and yard activities.
  • Lead and develop supervisors, coordinators, equipment operators, and hourly employees.
  • Ensure trains are received, processed, and departed safely and efficiently while meeting railroad service expectations.
  • Maintain accountability for safety performance and ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and railroad operating procedures.
  • Monitor terminal productivity, throughput, equipment utilization, and operational KPIs.
  • Develop staffing plans and manage labor resources to meet operational demands.
  • Partner with railroad customers and key stakeholders to resolve service issues and improve operational performance.
  • Investigate operational disruptions, safety incidents, customer concerns, and equipment issues while implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage terminal budgets, operating expenses, and overall financial performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, service, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of terminal equipment and assets.
  • Support employee development through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing, intermodal, rail, or terminal operations.
  • Previous experience managing supervisors and large employee groups preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, distribution, intermodal, rail, or terminal operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.
  • Experience managing operational metrics, budgets, and performance objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
