Key Responsibilities
  • Operate yard mule/terminal tractor to move trailers and containers around the facility
  • Safely back trailers into dock doors and staging areas
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip equipment inspections
  • Ensure trailers are properly placed for efficient loading/unloading
  • Communicate with warehouse and shipping teams to maintain smooth yard operations
  • Monitor yard traffic and assist with flow management to prevent congestion or delays
  • Maintain a clean and organized yard environment
  • Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and site rules
  • Assist with light warehouse duties, including inventory checks and general support as needed
  • Report mechanical issues with equipment to supervisors or maintenance
Requirements
  • 1+ year of yard mule/terminal tractor (yard dog) experience preferred (unless otherwise stated)
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record (CDL preferred, not required)
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Willing to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends if needed
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check
