Aspen Waste Systems is a local, privately-owned company providing waste and recycling services for commercial and residential customers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Aspen is seeking a full-time Container Shop Helper in our shop in Eagan, MN. This position will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing containers for distribution. This position will also assist our Welders with various duties in the Container shop.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize various types of containers according to company and industry standards.
  • Operate pressure washing equipment, pumps, and cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Assist with loading/unloading containers for cleaning and distribution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist Welders with basic container preparation and welding.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

In addition to these responsibilities, Container Shop Helpers are also required to push, pull, lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally push, pull, lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Employee will regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, lift, climb, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen
