Job description

Role description:
The Mechanic Journeyman is responsible for all mechanical maintenance of process equipment and general facility equipment.
Compensation and Schedule:
The starting pay rate for this role is $39.67 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain plant equipment including material handling equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, and production equipment
  • Use plasma cutter, acetylene, and torch to perform maintenance responsibilities on equipment
  • Comply with all company maintenance programs and practices
  • Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Complete preventive maintenance requirements
  • Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems

Minimum skills / qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic card
  • Ability to process, modify, and repair plant systems such as electrical, gas, air, and water systems
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds

Preferred skills / qualifications:
  • Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) experience

Compensation
The starting pay rate for this role is $39.67 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
