Summary

This senior manager role leads cloud architecture and engineering teams across Azure and GCP platforms. You will direct multi-cloud strategy, design large-scale container platforms using GKE, AKS, OpenShift, and native Kubernetes, and drive enterprise-level modernization, security, and operational excellence.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Cloud Strategy: Lead multi-cloud architecture roadmaps on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

  • Platform Engineering: Oversee the design and scaling of container platforms using GKE, AKS, OpenShift, and native Kubernetes.

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow high-performing cloud and DevOps engineering teams.

  • Enterprise Architecture: Define governance, security, and cost-optimization standards for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with leadership, customers and product teams to align cloud capabilities with business goals.
  • Solution Evaluation : Evaluation of enterprise grade containerization, container management solutions and preparing cost benefit analysis for all new cloud service requirements. 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Azure & GCP: Deep expertise in Azure (AKS, ARM, Entra ID) and GCP (GKE, IAM, VPC).

  • Container Expertise: Hands-on mastery of GKE, AKS, Red Hat OpenShift, and vanilla Kubernetes.

  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing technical teams and delivering enterprise cloud migrations.  
  • Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.

Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.
The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

Salary + Short Term Incentive = 125,000 - 199,000 CAD

  • 12+ years in IT with 5+ years in cloud architecture and senior management roles.
Typical Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
