Salary range (but not limited to):

64,100 - 78,300

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

About the role

We are looking for a Container Platforms Advisor to join our growing team!

In this role, you will be responsible for the integration and operation of our containerized infrastructure. The work of this team helps to ensure the integrity, efficiency and excellence of our IT systems so people can effortlessly leverage technology to do their work well.

What you'll do here:

  • Design, deploy and manage Google K8s engine (GKE) multi-cluster environments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Manage and support our container infrastructure based on OpenShift Container Platform and ROSA.
  • Collaborate with architects, platform specialists, and developers in agile teams accelerating cloud adoption and migration.
  • Guide best practices for containerization, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop robust pipelines to automate cluster, tools deployments and lifecycle management.
  • Work as part of the Operations squad to manage incidents, requests, and changes.
  • Monitor performance and availability of the platform.
  • 24/7 Production support as part of an on-call support team (rotation).

What you bring to the table:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in Google K8s engine (GKE) is a must.
  • Experience in OpenShift Container Platform/ ROSA will be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of K8s components such as network policies, cluster roles, services, deployments etc.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, GitOps, Ansible.
  • Experience supporting GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud DNS, Apigee would be valuable.
  • Familiarity of monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
  • Experience with Agile software development and release engineering (branching, versioning, tagging) with tools such as GitHub.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications in Kubernetes, Cloud and Terraform is an asset.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
