Job description

TekPro Support Services, LLC is seeking a logistics professional, with an active top secret clearance, capable of moving, loading, unloading, stacking and unstacking various bin, intermediate, bulk, and equipment.

What You'll Do:

  • Material Handling Laborer must be capable of performing the following:
  •  Receive verbal or written general instructions from supervisors and relay information, priorities, and work assignments to other members of the group in order to satisfactorily complete the assignment.
  • Report back to supervisor with progress of work process and any problems encountered.
  • Read work orders, and/or follow oral instructions, to determine materials or containers to be moved.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and shelves, by hand or through use of material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit in accordance with established procedures.
  • Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey load to destination.
  • Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled in accordance with established procedures.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, or other containers as directed.
  • Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together.
  • Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist.
  • Clean work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.

What You Bring:

  • Must have the ability to obtain a material handling equipment license, to include having and maintaining proficiency in standard or specialized equipment operation required to load or move materials and products (such as starting, stopping, accelerating, maneuvering, and backing).
  • Must be able to lift 50-70 pounds.
  • Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Possess an active Secret Clearance.
