Job description

Warehouse Associates

Givens is driven to deliver for both our customers and our employees. Since 1957 we have provided our customers a single source solution in warehouse, distribution, transportation, packing and crating and air freight services. We have been growing significantly over the last few years and continue to grow at a rapid pace. We are looking for processors/forklift operators to join our team.

The primary responsibility of this position is to accurately pick and pack orders in accordance with customer requirements and company standards. As a processor/fork lift operator, you will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to ensure timely and efficient order processing. You will also be receiving, loading and unloading 53' trailers, flatbeds and containers as well as preparing material for shipment.

Requirements:

  • Inspect merchandise for damages and defects
  • Unload material to warehouse dock
  • Identify damaged product or shortages and report to appropriate personnel
  • Properly use RF scanners to confirm accuracy
  • Able to withstand repetitive motion. (Lifting, Bending, Turning.)
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods 35lbs
  • Ability to operate various types of equipment to include but not limited to palletizer, gantry crane, banding material
  • Shrink wrap pallets
  • Able to use hand grinders
  • Ability to meet on time performance metrics
  • Comply with policies/procedures including safety procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Meet productivity goals and deadlines
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic math skills necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
