Job description

Work Schedule Hours: Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm.

Position Overview: The Safety Coordinator supports the implementing and overseeing of safety at work. Their main duty is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to the company and regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and coordinate new driver orientations
  • Provide support and act as a backup to Operations when needed
  • Assist the Recruiting Coordinator with applicable tasks
  • Support the training and certifying of the Driver Instructors and Driver Trainers
  • Assist in recruiting qualified Owner Operators and Company Drivers
  • Be an active partner and provide assistance in ongoing and corrective actions with driver instruction and training
  • Assist with accident investigations and reviews
  • Provide support with the training and certifying of container lift and yard truck operators
  • Other duties as assigned
