Position: Forklift & Overhead Crane Operator - Shipping and Receiving
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:45 PM
Pay: $20.00+/hr
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Job Summary
We are hiring a Forklift & Overhead Crane Operator for a client in the Atlanta, GA area. This is a physically demanding role, combining manual labor with forklift and overhead crane operation in a shipping and receiving environment.
Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Move coils using an overhead crane
  • Unload rail cars as part of receiving operations
  • Stage inbound and outbound loads
  • Check orders for accuracy against paperwork
  • Tag and label inbound inventory
  • Complete shipping and receiving paperwork
Must Haves
  • Ability to perform sustained, physically demanding manual labor
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Comfortable working around large, loud industrial machinery
Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience in shipping and receiving
