Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Class A or B CDL driver's license
- At least 21 years of age
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle records check
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Knowledge and Skills:
- Customer service oriented with the desire to meet or exceed expectations.
- Professional, courteous, and trustworthy
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical requirements including repetitive lifting, pushing, and climbing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follows route assignments as directed using an on-board computer system Routeware or a
- paper route sheet.
- Drivers provide containers to the customer’s site and haul away. The driver is expected to
- replace containers neatly at the designated area. When replacing the container or taking it
- away the driver is required to leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
- Positions and/or returns container on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids
- and/or doors are properly replaced and does not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Drivers will transport containers to and from the container yards. Driver safely maneuvers
- vehicle in residential and commercial environments and navigates high traffic and congested
- roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots safely.
- Follows route assignments as directed and completed end of day required documentation and
- the checkout process with the Supervisor.
- Clean garbage from inside of truck cab daily.
- Maintain and update DAILY driver logs as required.
