Temporary CDL Drivers typically hold the same credentials as full-time drivers but work on short-term assignments, offering flexibility but less job security. Full-time CDL Drivers have stable employment with benefits, working consistently for an employer. Both roles require a CDL and involve driving commercial vehicles, but their employment terms differ significantly.
A driver with a commercial driver’s license, or CDL, can operate trucks and other vehicles for commercial purposes. A temporary CDL driver works for a company as a substitute driver, a contractor, or a freelancer, without a permanent position. As a temporary CDL driver, your job duties depend on the needs of each client and the type of CDL license you hold. You may operate small trucks and make local deliveries, or you may drive large cargo loads longer distances that require you to stay overnight before returning home. Temporary CDL drivers may work a particular route for a set amount of time, or you may receive assignments on an on-call basis.

About the Position:
This position provides transportation services to residents of facility in timely and orderly fashion. Must have a CDL.
This individual must have a friendly, professional, and energetic personality and have a passion for improving the lives of others. The successful candidate for this position must be 21 years of age and have ability to drive the facility bus or other vehicles, meeting all federal, state, and provincial driving regulations and requirements. This individual will have ability to care for the facility bus or other vehicles, ensuring routine maintenance is being done (checking tires, rotation of tires, oil changes, brakes are in good order). The successful candidate for this position will communicate in a clear and concise manner with our residents. This individual will possess organizational skills as well as excellent customer service skills. In addition, the successful candidate will work well under time constraints and be able to meet deadlines.
