Picker/Packer

Warehouse/production role focused on preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.

Core responsibilities:

  • Pick orders: Use RF scanners or pick lists to locate and select the correct parts and quantities.
  • Pack products: Verify items and package them in appropriate shipping containers.
  • Ship orders: Prepare shipments, including documentation, labels, and ensuring timely dispatch.
  • Follow pick lists: Prioritize and organize orders based on customer deadlines or urgency.

Warehouse & Administrative Tasks:

  • Operate shipping or warehouse computer systems (order printing, tracking, label creation).
  • Perform data entry and basic clerical work (filing, order confirmation).
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments.

Inventory & Warehouse Support:

  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory placement.
  • Monitor packing/shipping supplies and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
  • Help with general warehouse organization and workflow.

Equipment & Physical Work:

  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
