Responsibilities

The Consumer Centralized Processor is responsible for managing consumer loan files from application through closing readiness by coordinating documentation, satisfying underwriting and collateral requirements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and bank standards.

This role serves as the primary operational liaison among borrowers, lenders, underwriting, loan documentation, real estate services, and third-party vendors to deliver an efficient, accurate, and seamless loan experience. The Consumer Centralized Processor owns the processing workflow, proactively advances loans through the pipeline, and ensures files are complete and ready for closing.

Salary Range: $18.25/Hr. - $29.75/Hr. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own assigned consumer loan files from application through closing readiness.
  • Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with underwriting requirements, regulatory standards, and bank policy.
  • Monitor pipeline activity, prioritize workflow, clear conditions, and proactively resolve issues that may impact processing timelines.
  • Ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and ready for document preparation, funding, and closing.

Deliver an Exceptional Customer and Partner Experience:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers throughout the processing lifecycle.
  • Communicate documentation requirements, outstanding conditions, timelines, and next steps to borrowers and business partners.
  • Collaborate with Community Lenders, Underwriting, Loan Documentation, Real Estate Services, closing agents, and third-party vendors to advance loans efficiently through the process.
  • Provide timely status updates and maintain consistent follow-up to minimize delays and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Ensure Quality, Compliance, and Operational Excellence:

  • Collect, review, and validate borrower, collateral, insurance, and payoff documentation required to support lending decisions.
  • Verify information accuracy and ensure all loan documentation meets underwriting, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records within applicable systems and document all loan activity.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve processing risks while supporting audit, quality control, and compliance objectives.
  • Support closing preparation, scheduling, and funding readiness activities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in consumer lending, loan processing, loan operations, or related financial services experience preferred.
  • Experience with consumer loan products, including real estate-secured lending and home equity products, preferred.
  • Familiarity with loan origination systems, document management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending documentation, underwriting requirements, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
