Job description

The salary range for this role is $73,000 - $90,000/year + Bonus

Numerator Verified Voices combines verified purchase behavior with mobile surveys to unlock consumer and shopper insights that build stronger brands. Powered by the industry's largest and most diverse consumer purchase panel, our Research Consulting team delivers unmatched insight into consumer influencers, behaviors, and opinions, and we deliver actionable, decision-driving insights for some of the world's leading brands.

As a Research Consultant on Numerator's Research Consulting team, you'll independently own client relationships across a core set of clients and ad-hoc projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to your clients by synthesizing complex data into clear insights, building compelling narratives, and delivering actionable recommendations that strengthen client partnerships and directly influence business decisions. You will guide clients to the right research solution - full-service custom, DIY, or do-it-together - while protecting scope, quality, and timelines. This role requires strong judgment, comfort operating with minimal oversight, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, including thoughtful AI use, comfort with ambiguity, and clear client expectation-setting.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and ad-hoc projects, owning client relationships end-to-end, delegating to members of your project team as needed, and building strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Consulting, and Operations.
  • Own the full project life cycle for client-specific work - from scoping and project design (including proposal writing and pricing as needed) through execution - covering project design, questionnaire development, sample definition, data tabulation and analysis, client-ready deliverables, and presentation of results.
  • Design and deliver both custom, full-service research and tech-enabled, DIY survey solutions on Numerator's platform, guiding clients towards the right approach based on objectives, timelines, budget and capabilities.
  • Support clients using Numerator’s platform by offering the appropriate level of help, whether that means answering questions, providing education, recommending A La Carte services, or supporting subscription-based work. Help clients understand what the platform can do, what support is available, and when a request may need a different service model.
  • Set clear expectations before work begins by clarifying the client’s request, confirming timing and level of effort, and aligning on what is included. Manage scope carefully, especially when client needs fall in the gray area between in-platform support and full-service custom research.
  • Apply a strong understanding of quantitative research methodologies, sampling approaches, industry standards, and intermediate panel structures to design high quality research.
  • Identify opportunities for advanced analytics and effectively interpret results, partnering with internal analytics experts as needed.
  • Go beyond reporting results to deliver high-level insights, strategic storytelling, and clear actionable recommendations tailored to client business questions.
  • Use AI-enabled tools as part of a thoughtful, accountable workflow to improve speed, quality, synthesis, project planning, and deliverable development while validating outputs and maintaining Numerator's standards for accuracy and client readiness.
  • Leverage Numerator’s shopper panel and collaborate with the Consulting team to create holistic, high-impact research designs and outputs.
  • Contribute to broader client strategy in partnership with the account team and provide support for sales initiatives.
  • Manage client workload and multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision/oversight required, prioritizing effectively while maintaining a high bar for quality and client service.
  • Delegate appropriately to and mentor Research Analysts and Research Operations partners, providing clear direction, feedback and support.
  • Travel, as required, to support the above responsibilities.
